Blog to Book presented at the BlogHer 2008 Conference on July 19, 2008 in San Francisco, California

I spoke on the “Blog to Book” panel at BlogHer 2008, the largest female blogging conference in the world which had over 1000 attendees. Fellow panelists included, Ellen Gerstein (Director of Marketing at Wiley and Sons), Neeti Madan (literary agent with Sterling Lord), and Rita Arens (a fellow blogger/author). I answered audience questions and offered my expertise on how my blog led to a book deal, the ways I used my blog to promote my book, incentives I used to motivate my readers to get the word out, how to set up a book web site, how to plan your own book release party, and how to sell autographed books from a corner of your apartment with PayPal and a big box of bubble mailers.
