A review of Half-Assed is included in the July/August edition of Women’s Health. If the $4.99 cover charge is too much for you, or you don’t feel like ducking into your local grocery store to flip to page 78, here’s a scan of the article (or at least my part, which is of course the most important part of the entire magazine):
I’m happy to share the page with two other bloggers turned authors (a trend I’m happy to see continuing): Jen Lancaster, who makes people snort milk (and possibly Chardonnay) onto their keyboards at Jennsylvania, and Stephanie Klein of Greek Tragedy who I’m excited to meet at the BlogHer conference this July. Jen wrote Such a Pretty Fat: One Narcissist’s Quest To Discover if Her Life Makes Her Ass Look Big, Or Why Pie is Not The Answer and Stephanie wrote Moose: A Memoir of Fat Camp, two different and very worthwhile takes on fat and all that. They’re definitely worth checking out (after you finish reading my book first, of course). I haven’t read the other book reviewed, Confessions of a Carb Queen by Susan Blech, but I’ve added it to my “to read” list.
