Jane Espenson is a former writer for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a current writer for Battlestar Galactica, which makes her far cooler than I shall ever be. She also writes a great blog called Jane In Progress which focuses mostly on how to write better TV scripts, but her advice applies to most forms of writing. (Except for those tips about how to get into the Disney/ABC Writing Fellowship program. I don’t know how I could work that into a memoir.)
Last September when I was starting to freak out about what final edits to make in my manuscript, she wrote a post about how to take notes from producers. It helped a lot, so as a thank you, I sent her a card and a free copy of my book. Today, Jane was kind enough to mention my book in her blog. How cool! Thanks, Jane. And BTW, is Starbuck a cylon? (I promise not to tell anyone!)
