My publisher has told me that sales of the Kindle edition of Half-Assed are doing well. I wish I owned a Kindle so I could see what it looks like on the mobile device. I only saw one once briefly in the hands of another passenger as I was walking down the aisle of a plane. Once digital readers become more affordable, I think they will really take off. I would have loved to have stored all my college textbooks in one lightweight device instead of in 50+ pounds of textbooks.
There will still be a place for books made from dead trees, particularly well-crafted books with illustrations. There is something about the tactile sensation of holding a book that can’t be duplicated. However, there is also something to be said for convenience and the ability to bring your entire library on a plane. I hope all my Kindle readers have been enjoying the book.
