Even more praise for CHOCOLATE & VICODIN

In addition to the blog book tour that’s continuing through next Tuesday, a few more positive reviews of Chocolate & Vicodin have been rolling in.

Women’s Life Link posted a lovely review that said this, among other things:

I believe that Jennette is extremely gifted as a writer and could likely do stand up comedy, as long as there were no bright lights, smoke, and loud fans to exacerbate her one headache that has now lasted for over three years…I admire her. I relate to her. I hope she keeps writing great books.

Girl from the Ghetto is giving away three copies of the book, and had this to say:

If you are one of those people searching for a cause or solution to your pain and enjoy humor while trying to focus through your pain, then you are going to love this book. You need to read this book, because Jennette is a master at making me laugh.

My friend and web design client, Kalyn Denny of Kalyn’s Kitchen was kind enough to post about the book, too.

I also wrote a two-part guest post on Well Read Wife about the difference between writing for blogs and books. You can read part 1 and part 2.

Thanks for talking about me talk about you! You deserve the praise! Just do yourself a favor, don’t acquire some mysterious illness for the inspiration of your next bestseller…we’d be happy with a book about flowers, pancakes, or cats. If your name is in the byline, we’re in!

You made me laugh and cry. I have had chronic pain for 7 years now (the result of a sacral ligament injury), which literally is a pain in the butt. It causes spascicity in the gluteus musculature which results in bursitis down both sides of my thighs. The only relief – ice and every three months I get Botox for the spasming which again, helps but does not alleviate completely or cure. It has affected my life much like your chronic pain has yours (limiting what a do and plan to do). Thank you so much for getting your story out there, it has brought me greater insight into my own feelings. Like a headache, back (or in this case butt) pain has a million causes and everyone has a “solution”. If the pain hasn’t exhausted me the well intended “advice” does. I honestly feel like exploding at really nice people and wonder what made me turn into such a person and I now realize, I am not a mean person, just a persono coping with a very difficult situation that is not understand by the people I interact with on a daily basis. I will think of you and your plight as I drag my ice pack around and take my Celebrex but not in pity, but in victory. Thank you again!
