The first podcast on the blog tour takes place today at Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb run by Jimmy Moore, who has lost a lot of weight himself. I never mention what diet I did in the book, but on the blog it’s easy to discover that I followed the South Beach Diet which has a 2-week induction phase where you go low-carb. It’s been so long since I’ve read the SBD book that I’m not even sure if I’m technically on that diet anymore. When I ran my half-marathon at the beginning May I definitely ate a lot of carbs. (Mmmm, bagels.) I still avoid white flour, white rice and potatoes, but I’m not afraid to eat fruits and veggies and whole grains. My philosophy is you have to find what works for you. Jimmy and I talked not just about carbohydrates, but also the power of blogging, loose skin and more.
