I thought I should check in to let everyone know I’m not dead and I didn’t break another arm which was the reason I went this long without blogging last year. I will post something here eventually, I swear.
If you are itching to read something I’ve written, I started blogging at Migraine.com in March. You can read my posts here. I wrote two articles for them years ago and then fell off the face of the planet there as well. I’d love to say that I didn’t blog there more because I had a headache, but everyone else on that site does too, so they’re just making me look bad.

Afer months of not keeping up with the blogs I used to read, today, I thought to myself, “I wonder how Jennette is doing.” It turns out, you just happen to have posted. I checked out your blog post about your ten year migraine anniversary and I thought, “I remember when she got that headache. It’s been ten years?!” Wow. Oh, pastaqueen, where has the time gone? Even if you aren’t blogging regularly and you still have a headache, I hope everything else is going well in your life.
Wow, that’s a long time to have a headache! My 21 year old son suffers with migraine every so often, and it fattens him sometimes; poor boy.
Recently it was suggested to my wife and I that taking magnesium will help with migraine. Fortunately I don’t suffer this debilitating condition, but my wife on occasion does.
She now takes a magnesium supplement with every migraine and finds that she gets a certain amount of relief until it passes.
Happy to have a chance to read your writing, no matter where you might be posting it! Glad to hear you’re alive and not nursing a broken arm š
Good to hear from you. I enjoyed the photo you posted with this blog! š
I miss you Jennette, and wish you’d write more.
Also, Paul up above ^^ may have just given us a whole new weight problem justification in his first paragraph.
@MaggieToo – so funny! I know he meant to say “flatten”
I was wondering if you have tried Aimovig and if it worked for you. Also wondered how things are going in general.
@Vickie – I haven’t tried Aimovig and probably won’t since I don’t technically have migraine and there aren’t any headache specialists covered by my insurance so I’m not seeing an expert anymore. I am doing fine though.
Hi Jeannette. You said you really donāt have a migraine but a constant headache correct? Iām wondering if itās the same condition my son (17) has. Heās been with a consistent headache close to a year now. Nothing seems to help and weāve been considering it as a migraine. Itās really debilitating for everyone. I would give anything for the cure.
@Keith – I’m very sorry to hear about your son’s chronic headache. What I have is called New Daily Persistent Headache. It’s a headache that doesn’t go away. You can Google it for more info. Unfortunately, there’s no cure and it’s the hardest headache to treat because they don’t really know what causes it š Best of luck to you, and I hope your son is as well as possible!
Thanks Jennette. Same to you! I recently bought him a supplement called Dolovent (contains CoQ10). Still waiting on results. And thereās also black seed oil which I read has some great reviews. Thanks again. Hereās to never losing hope!
